I did an extensive research in the Bay area for the bridal make-up and found awesome reviews about Joyce. I went ahead with make up trial session with Joyce and immediately I fell in love with her. She mastered a natural makeup that I desired for my bridal look. Not only that she was very patient during the session trying to bring out the best look with various hairstyles~
I also wanted to share her such talents with the rest of my wedding party. We ended up having 7 women and groom for hair/make-up service. Joyce and her team went above and beyond what I could ask for on my hectic wedding day.
She is not only a professional but also kind/genuine and patient person. Despite Brazilla's indecisiveness at times, she remains so professional and helpful throughout the process leading to the wedding day. She was already at the getting-ready site before the rest of the crew got there. In spite of the hectic schedule in the morning, she pulled out such amazing job with her crew and we still stayed on time with the schedule. I also loved the down-to-earth nature of her. If she doesn't feel that it is necessary or essential, she will tell you so. It is extremely helpful when the rest of the wedding business is deceiving you as if it's never enough and your makeup stylist can tell you that you look just beautiful enough. I believe that her presence in the morning kept us calm in the midst of chaos. Literally everyone raved about my hair and make-up in addition to the bridal party. We all felt like we turned into princess and thanked her! I already told Joyce that I would love to come back to her for any other events/professional photo sessions or even just for lessons. Thanks Joyce for being you and being so good! :D

During the trial, she was very detail-oriented and gave me suggestions on styles that would suit my face and head shape. Also she gave me tips on taking care of my skin before the wedding. She was very responsive and patient when I texted her questions related to wedding logistics.

I’d especially want to recognize Joyce for doing beyond her job - she noticed that my videographer wanted to take more shots, so she stayed behind to reapply makeup for me and made sure all everything was okay. I mean, she could have just left after she’s done, but she did not :) It shows how much she cares about her client.

“Joyce was above and beyond what I had in mind for a makeup artist (I have received professional make up in korea before). She has been very kind and patient throughout our initial contact through the day of the service :) I am 100% pleased with her exceptional service and talent!
My appointment with her was quite early in the morning but she was ready before our appointment time for some amazing action! I sent her a few photos of the makeup and hair I wanted for the photo shoot and she was able to recreate the look better than what I had in mind. Not only is her skill superb, but she is very detail oriented. She really took care of each pigmented spots on my skin and single strands of my hair to look perfect.
Even my photographer who has worked with different makeup artists, approved of Joyce’s makeup and hair skills. I really cannot ask for more in an exceptional makeup artist such as Joyce, I would work with her in the future again and again.
